The disappearance of Amanda Dowler from the same place as Sarah Payne lived and went to school, must have caused police to rethink their investigation into Sarah's abduction and subsequent murder.
Amanda's disappearance, like Sarah's is full of occult dimensions.
Now we hear that detectives who worked on the Sarah Payne case are assisting Surrey Police in looking for Amanda Dowler. Of course Surrey Police may be drawing on the experience and results of Sussex Police investigations but then maybe not. In my opinion the investigation and subsequent conviction of Roy Whiting as the lone perpetrator in this terrible crime was a travesty of justice. Nothing linked Whiting personally to Sarah, nothing at all.
You can read my misgivings and alternative views here and here
Don't expect police to admit they got it wrong though, if indeed they have.
May I also suggest that a very close eye is kept on Roy Whiting, he may know just a little too much.
