PYRAMIDS OF OXFORD
Atop the bizarre 1960's tower at Botley, West Oxford; on the old border between Oxfordshire and Berkshire. It is obviously a ravenously sought-after spot. Also nearby are the new McDonalds burger joint and the HSBC BankHead Office. Oh, it is also on a crossroads. The Solar and Luna - loving, mass-scale animal sacrificing  McDonald's now has a branch to the east (on a major intersection-roundabout  London to Oxford)), in the centre of Oxford (as near to Carfax X-roads as it is possible to get.) and the Botley location.
At the entrance to the Westgate Shopping mall. This is also on a crossroads. The shopping precinct was built in the 1970's close to Oxford Castle, County Court, County Chambers and prison. Hundreds of families were turned out of their homes to make way for it. It was renovated in the late 1980's. At one time the site of a Greyfriars monastery.
Also see Oxford Prison.
The brand new Youth Hostel Association quarters on the western side of the railway station. The logo of the YHA has always intrigued me. It is clearly supposed to be a cross between a pyramid and a pine tree. On a crossroads.
Oxfords newest college, and in my opinion, a bloody eyesore. It is the first thing you see when you exit the railway station on the East side when heading into the city - as well as a the bull of course. Also on a crossroads.
An unusual, obviously pyramidal stepped, gable in a chequered and hatched pattern. A curious floral-like, metal work design stretches from the point. This is in the science area of Oxford University. Oh, and on a crossroads. - Coincidentally it sits within an enormous henge that (in 2008) was made public. Read Oxford: Womb of the World
This pyramid sits atop the Main Post Office of Oxford, opposite the Town Hall and very close to Carfax. Carfax is a famous crossroads, the legendary centre of England and much associated with dragons. This street is now called St. Aldates but at one time was 'Great Jewery'. The synagogue was on the opposite side of the road and down a bit.
