You have entered a vortex, a stargate, a place of transformation, healing - the signs are all around: from the octagonal portal adorned with swirls and waves, the similarly decorated light pendulum hovering over the caduceus encircled with a wreath of olive leaves. Life springs eternal.
Strangely, number forty-two (or four and 2), in this building, does allude to the meaning of life: e.g.
Four central knights and two flanking on the exterior. Four demons over the windows and 2 over the door. Four doors and 2 open arches leading from the vestibule. Eighty-four tiles comprising forty-two white and forty-two green. Forty-two elements make up the central theme. ETC. An octagon is four x 2.
I stood below the pendulum to see what the energy felt like... It was indescribably calming and yet I felt that at any moment I wished I could have been transported to anytime, anywhere.
I'm going to have to visit this place again. When I do I'll get some pics from upstairs if I can cause the ones in the link above are the biz.
