"This above all: to thine ownself be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man."
~ Hamlet (by Francis Colopes)
The tease on the cover.
Hi every one, and welcome to new subscribers, it's me again; the one who said the last newsletter was the last, and meant it at the time.
I'd been mulling over the almost 10 year commitment I'd made with my website and was wondering whether I could carry on attempting to prod an audience of accelerating comatosity (not you obviously...and thankfully).
It seemed, and still seems, to me that most everyone is mesmerised by the acts of the puppets on the stage rather than the puppet master, even those who say they aren't. This misdirection is being endorsed - whether wittingly or not - by the majority of the material on the most visited alternative websites, blogs and forums; whose main focus by far is fixed on the lines, the characters and the calculated backdrops. This is understandable because these are the things that humans are trained to acknowledge and the programming is so deep and strong that what they do not recognise they will resist; what they are familiar with they will embrace. For example every day on one of these truthseeking websites or other we read how science and politics are a farce and that politicians are untrustworthy, and the BBC, CNN etc are too and then they link to them when they recognise their particular hobbyhorse is being supported by a story on them. People gravitate to what they recognise whether they like it or not. It's more pathetic than hypocritical really but hundreds of thousands gobble up what they serve out every day. The programme is thusly reinforced and the system is content...burp! Although it is wise to be appraised of current events and situations how much, considering the multitude of waking hours they spend on them, have their readers really learnt from such sources that is valuable to the human journey that they are all a part of?
The invisible is essential and must be made to matter and it is so vital that we dis-cover the covert; but very little - mostly nothing - about these infinitely more critical motivational transrealm forces is disclosed or explored in their right-thinking (left-brained) world; and because it isn't the Darkness gets away with it. Relegation and negation satiates not only the their spun-eyed disciples but the Beast too.
Then there's the other offering, just as much of a handicap. It's proponents, if they keep going, will find themselves disappearing up their own backsides; the ones that preach the 'you are an infinite consciousness experiencing being human so no need to do anything, nothing to worry about' godspell. It's true, we are 'infinite consciousness experiencing being human' but knowing this is of no help whatsoever should you find yourself on the wrong end of a crazed demonic assault - something that occurs millions of times every day across the world and happens in varying degrees to everyone. The crucial point to remember always is not that you are infinite consciousness, but that you are an aspect of Creation, Consciousness (call it what you will) experiencing being human. That's what you are here for. Being infinite consciousness was boring that's why It made us - and other aspects, beings and consciousnesses. Angels and demons we'll all be.
As idylic as it may seem we cannot be in life now fully integrated with the truth of our 'we are all that is' - 'we are infinite consciousness experiencing being human' canon because it has precious little bearing in the present human phase of development and experience.

New articles
My latest article, over 5 pages, called A Year of Tears & Tears has had an extraordinary response, probably the best I've had for years. Puts me in mind of the heady days of the like of 'Hell's Bells', 'Sarah's Painting', Anus Horribilis', 'Eyes Wide Shut' each of which have been read 100,000 times and more. Perhaps the 'year of rips and drips' will mark a rebirth, I hope so because increased awareness of the Dark magic that is abroad is sorely needed. Sadly some people appear to be threatened by the workings that are revealed in the article and have moved to suppress it. Many people have contacted me to say how enlightening it has been. I've been interviewed on it too and the film, if things work out, will be going on YouTube (and possibly another avenue) quite soon.
A Year of Tears & Tears knits together wonderfully with another recent article,'Michael X Mary & Joseph' and I've expanded even on these. (Please see the 12th - 15th August 2009 Features - I'll be adding this to the 'Tears' article at some stage.)

A Reader's review of Dogged Days
I've been meaning to write this for ages, but haven't got round to it until now. I'm sorry Ellis, it isn't going to be the well written review of others, it's just my humble perceptions.
Sam lent me your book, and I'd really like my own copy, preferably the one with coloured pictures as I know I'll have to give her copy back to her soon when I see her next at Weird 09. She told me that I'd really enjoy it as I'd recognise a lot of what you were saying, and she was so right.
To start, your author's note got me fired up. It was almost like reading something I'd written, when you talked about people who wouldn't get what you're saying, and how contrary it is for you to believe that they wouldn't' get it. When I read that your book was 'an honest account from an otherworld traveller' something in me ''twigged'. I hope you understand what I mean by that, but it did. I just knew that you were going to provide me with an awesome read, and you did. Yep - that's exactly what your book is, and I recognise it as such, and did all the way through.
I read your book knowing that an awful lot of it would resonate with me, and it did. So much of what you describe seems to fit in with what I have experienced. It's not solid, is it? Not a lot of the time. It's almost like you're existing outside of time and space or something when it happens, but it's so, so 'real'. But, when it happens, you can't deny it. It explodes within you and makes you question everything. You just 'know' that it's real . It's part of you too, so much, and always has been. You try to deny it, I know I have tried to, so many times, but it's impossible. It, whatever 'it' is won't let you rest. You are just are part of 'it' and wake up to face the consequences, live your life, all the time knowing that you're part of something so much bigger, so much more....well, 'everything', really. I do wonder what those patterns were on you. I've woken up with odd formations on me.....a few years back I woke up with a criss cross pattern on my abdomen that was perfectly healed, yet hurt so much. Within hours, it had disappeared thought the pain remained for a few days. A few days later, I woke up with a long straight scar on my outer left thigh which was, again, perfect. Although I didn't 'remember' anything happening, I just 'knew' it had. My leg was the first thing I looked at the next day. It was healed, no sign of inflammation, nothing. It was 5" long and looked very much as if I'd had an operation. It's the only one I've had which has stuck around so I actually decided to ask my GP about it. He's a cool bloke, and I know him, having worked in that surgery.....so I asked him what it was. He's also got additional qualifications in dermatology. He peered at it through a dermy microscope and asked me how I got it as it was 'impossible'!!! Apparently it wasn't a cat scratch, I did ask him, (as I was still in denial and had convinced myself that that's what it was) although it was 'impossible' as there was a clear 'old' scar with no scar tissue - none at all. I did open up to him a bit, and he was very, very open about this, as he was clearly viewing the 'impossible', but I haven't mentioned it again to him.
Your bit in the book about nighttime. I have rarely been in so much agreement with someone. Up, down, light on, light off - never resting, never relaxing, always aware - it was like reading my own life story. Your book is so incredible, in so many ways. It casually relates things which are incredible, yet also, dare I say this, 'normal' for people like us. The awesome things people experience but in a way which reaches out and is so human. We all just want to get on with our lives.
I love the down to earth and honest way you wrote this. It was so true, and reflected the fact we're all just 'normal' people. We're not waltzing around so crazily in the way a lot of new age folk are, trying to connect with 'ascended masters' (that drives me nuts), falling for every new age scam going.....we just live. We live with these things which unwittingly happen to us, and we, somehow, learn to deal with them, and learn from them. We're just normal people. We didn't ask for these things to happen, but we know they have, and we have to deal with them. Reading how you have dealt with them helps me deal with them, if that makes sense?
Your courage is amazing, and that comes across too, so strongly. It gives me strength too, as I'm sure it does a lot of others. It also makes me realise that maybe people like us ARE the lucky ones, for whatever reason. You're so right. We have glimpsed an awesome part of creation. Thank you for making me realise that Ellis. Despite everything, I guess we really are the lucky ones. And I really, really enjoyed your book.
Sara
Dear Sara, your words have moved me. Thank you so very much.
I always hoped that Dogged Days would connect with readers like this, like you, like us. We may seem few but we are many, we may be everyone, we'll see.
Dogged Days does that. It is an unsettling book because so much of it is witnessed and evidenced, it is all true. I've never been frightened to talk about my experiences, and I put much of that down to very early encounters that I consciously participated in. I'm sure that I bonded with otherworldly beings much like we imprint on human beings at birth. It helped too that I had a lot of friends who also walked in different worlds and didn't realise we weren't allowed to.
So many readers have written to tell me that Dogged Days has unlocked long forgotten memories of incidents that bemused or terrified them so much that they'd sealed them in that dusty corner of their minds where they never look. Dogged Days unlocked those close encounters, it is a key and subsequently, they say, they have been able to recognise what gifts they were. That is so very healing.
I wrote Dogged Days because I felt I must. Andy Lloyd wrote in his review "I get the sense that Ellis's series of books has been a gentle progression towards the confessional testimony of 'Dogged Days'. That is how it felt to me too. My books were written in the sequence that I was guided to write them.
Sara, would you mind if I included your review in a newsletter? I think it is wonderful.
Ellis
Thank you for agreeing to including your review in this newsletter Sara.
What my books do need in this Darkly suppressed world is to be accessible and to be read and that means for me ethical promotion. If anyone feels they would like to write a review on book sites, recommend them on websites and forums, to friends, on Amazon, Fishpond, Blackwells, Barnes and Noble etc etc - whatever comes to you, I would be very grateful. I have already given books to libraries in the UK and Australia as well but it gets expensive so if you think your local library might stock them then please ask them to order copies through their system. I'm also intending to do radio interviews on Dogged Days but not with mainstream.
