Discovered on 30th July by OCCCS's Geoff Ambler, this delightful crop circle looks to have manifested on 29th July 2006. This day is devoted to St. Martha, who is mentioned in the Bible as the sister of Lazarus. It is a considered opinion amongst many scholars that she is in fact another version of Mary Magdalene.
This 6-pointed petal formation enclosed in a circle, together with two loops, forming the so-called Vesica Pisces, certainly suggests the blossoming and rejuvenated Goddess.
It has a profound beauty and a subtle, gentle energy, though powerful enough to white-out some of my photographs.
Between the petals that point towards St Mary's church at Garsington is a fastened knot (a sealed knot?) in the space between them. (see photo four)
St Mary's church and the energy centre she rests upon has been stifled since late March, and this seems to have been the reason why it has taken so long for a crop circle to appear near here this year. English Heritage have built a Faraday Cage around her tower preventing electro-magnetic energy from travelling through this domain. As the hill sits upon the St Michael Line it most likely, in my view, has had a detrimental effect on this year's national showings. Since June, I and others, have been attempting to heal the situation. David Cowan and Hamish Miller offered advice too. At a later date I hope to get round to writing an article on all this.
Anyway here she is, the fair maiden of the vale, the Goddess of our Sacred Isles, is seen once more.
