Our environment hosts myriad energy streams; roads, railways, canals and rivers, power lines, telephone lines and pipelines; and time, the seasons, the weather, the stars and planets ...ad infinitum; and all of these connect to the four physical elements air, water, fire and earth. In every case, without exception, they all link in to each other. And then, besides, betwixt and between these sanctioned courses there are others, amongst them many that are infinitely more powerful, yet invisible to the spellbound mundane senses of the majority of today's baffled humans. Criss-crossing our planet at many levels these include the Song Lines, the Spirit Lines, the Snake Lines and the Dragon Lines accepted and respected by indigenous people everywhere constituting in a major sense the nervous system of Gaia too, naturally, constantly and cyclically ebbing and flowing driven by other physical, ethereal and cosmic arterial elements. They, as we do, constitute functioning aspects of the matrix, an ever transforming and flowing experiential complex of unfathomable dimensions. Every ingredient is interrelated and a reciprocating vehicle for every other.
Coincidents
Every incident and every manifestation is derived through the concurrence of their appropriate elements. There is no such thing as an accident, or a coincidence so I would suggest a more appropriate spelling for the word would be coincidents. It is impossible for any incident to occur without its necessary elements and appropriate sequential steps. We only assume such things like accidents or coincidences because we are preoccupied with worshipping the intellect, thus granting it a tyrannical hold on our acceptance of what is real. Every detail of every idea, discovery, invention - whatever - materialises when the requisite ingredients have been accumulated and when these attune the rythms of the aforementioned energy streams. Creation is nothing but attunement. Destruction is disharmony. Both concordance and discordance are discernable through interpretative techniques like numerology, symbology and etymology.
Numerology, Symbology, Etymology and the Discovery of Ley Lines
The knowledge of this intrinsic power grid was suppressed and systematically erased from modern human's awareness until 30 June 1921. On this day at a place near Blackwardine in Herefordshire, an intuitive 66-year-old amateur photographer and archaeologist, Alfred Watkins tuned into the Universal Consciousness and was rewarded with a vision of what he dubbed 'Leys', and we now call Ley Lines.
Ley Lines commute energy and in this way are analogous to trading, traders and merchants. Alfred Watkins was a merchant. Numerologically merchants are always influenced by number 6 energy, the number of service. Alfred Watkins was learning from experiences manifested through 6 energy. Also note that he was 66 when he re-discovered this natural energy system and that it was also in the 6th month, June when he beheld that wonder. The full date totals 22, which is two 2's. Number 2 is the number of the line (alignment) and obviously 22 symbolises multiple 2's. Number 2 influences nerves and number 22 regularly represents these cycles, webs and nets - the whole system - as illustrated by the Tarot's Major Arcana, the Hebrew alphabet (and ours in reality), the 22 bones of the human skull, the original 22 books of the Old Testament are examples. Blackwardine was derived from Black Caer Dun, a Roman hill fort. The surname Watkins comes from a name meaning 'son of the ruler of the army'. Arthur comes from an old English name meaning 'Elf counsel'. Elves as we know are mysterious multidimensional creatures said to hop between worlds often interacting with and tricking travellers and merchants.
The Tarot card associated with number 22 is 'the Fool', which pictures an elven-like figure carrying a knapsack and following a path lighted by a white sun. He represents the traveller and the merchant. This card is numbered 0 (zero), which is a symbol of all or nothing. 'The Fool' suggests the solar points of Beltane (about 5th May) and Lughnasadh (about 4th August) when, at these times the sun strikes the British Isles near Hopton in Norfolk and surges along the Michael and Mary Line all the way to Carn Les Boel near Lands End, Cornwall.
The Michael and Mary Line was re-discovered by John Michel (notice the etymological connections here) in the 1960's. This re-cognition and others were recorded in Michel's seminal book, 'View Over Atlantis'. Michel noticed that much of this line followed the old Roman road, the Icknield Way. Roads, like Ley Lines, are communication lanes carrying such as messages, messengers and merchants. I've often mused on the similarity of the name of the Greek mythological figure Ikarus (Icarus - Latin), who flew too close to the sun and the solar trail of the Icknield Way. In the 1980's two men, Hamish Miller and Paul Broadhurst embarked on a now legendary expedition dowsing the full length of the line, after which they presented their remarkable tome, 'The Sun and the Serpent'. It was they that coined the names St Michael and St Mary for the two Dragon Lines they found weaving together across Britain. Crop Circles - symbolic messages manifesting serially (sorry), it seems, always on energy streams, most particulary the Michael and Mary lines and their tributaries in Albion. Last November (2004) I attended the un-missable QuestCon conference in London with a good friend where one of the speakers was Paul Broadhurst. His talk focussed on a far longer quest he, Hamish Miller, Vivienne Shanley and Ba Russell undertook dowsing the Apollo/Athena line from Skellig Michael in Ireland to Megiddo (ancient Armageddon), in Israel. This fiery Dragon Line had previously been visualised by a Frenchman, Jean Richer. Later his brother Lucien investigated it and wrote 'The St Michael-Apollo Axis' (English trans., Gatekeeper Trust, 1994). Note the name connections Paul-Apollo and Lucien - light. Richer, well that's what someone who sells or exchanges energy hopes to be - isn't it? Anyway during Paul Broadhurst's talk he showed us photographs of a very intriguing rock formation this line visits - one that resembles a lizard from one side and a camel from the other, he said. I knew I had to go there.
Here Be A Dragon
As luck would have it I was invited to Cornwall to speak to the Cornwall UFO Group in May 2005. The next day my friend Dave Gillham and I headed down to the Lizard Peninsular to make the acquaintance of this formidable natural sculpture. The Lizard coastline is one of the most dramatic environments in the British Isles, wild, rugged, timeless, and with an atmosphere so intense and magnificent that it's a perfect place for a dragon to lord over. We drove along the coast to a village called Rinsey and from here we took a track to the coastal carpark atop the cliffs. We could see the abandoned Wheal Prosper engine house to our left and in front of us Rinsey House balancing on the edge of the cliffs. The wind howled in from the Atlantic as we took the coast path which led past the engine house to Trewavas Head. A couple of intrepid anglers casting into the waves from the shoreline rocks were probably getting just as soaked as the fishermen in the two little boats bouncing on the waves. The sun shone gloriously and I had such an intense pull to see the dragon that the little spurts of rain didn't matter. We wound down to the engine house and noticed the remains of a fire from the previous night. Perhaps there had been a ritual there the night before. This was 4th May, the season of Beltane. We passed the old tin mine shaft and climbed up the next rise...and there it was...WOW! WOW! WOW!
Standing like the sentinel it surely is the winged Dragon seated upon its timeless throne peered across the bay and out to sea. I imagined it surveying the ocean its ancient eyes having born witness to every hurling wind of history. Yet magnificent, so warm, I felt that here was a friend, that we recognised each other. I climbed upon her back and I rode through the stormy gates of time. It was only when I dismounted I noticed how precarious the climb and the perch is...but no matter... I had, for a spell, returned home.
This is Albion's land, Land of the White Sun, just as the Tarot card depicts. The White Sun is also Venus, it was to her that the ancients of Britain and countless others elsewhere devoted themselves, her native name in the Isles buried in blood and forgotten. "Veni, Vidi, Vici," (I came, I saw, I conquered - they claim) cried Caesar after vanquishing another land. But one Venus clan, the fierce Iceni led by the Great Queen/Priestess, who embodied for them the warrior aspect of Venus, and honoured as Boudicca, routed their Saturnian army; only to be betrayed later by people who deserved to bow. Ancient peoples considered that Venus was the comet that brought about the demise of the darkening Saturn's regency. It's in the bible if you look. Through her successful mission our earth retains her vitality. It's a long story, but it's in a future book. Dragons have always represented comets and in this land who else could this high-Dragon represent? This winged Dragon is an aspect of courageous past clan affiliations, a symbol, yet a living spirit of the Isles. She stares at (towards) Armageddon - is that coincidence?
Where there are transactions there are tallymen. And the same rock formation manifests the tallyman. Where the dragon peers out to sea the accompanying tallyman weighs and measure the energy before she accepts or transmits it.
