Dear Ellis,
... just to add my small, but hopefully useful, observations. My realm of expertise is not crop circle research - but I have been a ufo researcher for around twenty years, formerly with quest/ufo magazine. In 1990 and 1991 I did spend a week at a time camped out by the white horse at Pewsey in an attempt to either film a circle forming or establish whether or not there was a ufo link with the formation. Aside from the various golden yellow orbs moving along the vale I found no ufo link as such ... no structured craft etc involved in the making. What I did find - and this may be relevant to your photo - was that there was a definite intelligence of a discarnate form closely associated. It had the child like, game playing mentality that I had previously only encountered in the presence of poltergeist activity - further, I had the distinct impression that this presence did not have the feel of a normal organic, spiritual entity - it seemed as though it was artificialy intelligent, yet a discarnate spiritual form. The closest I had previously encountered to this was a barrow guardian entity ... allegedly these were artificially created spirit guardians that instilled fear upon intruders - sort of spirit bodied guard dogs ... I accidentaly activated one of these at West Kennet Long Barrow - and it did a good job of trying to be menacing. The presence at Pewsey had a similar "texture" but not threatening as such, merely somewhat arrogant and dismissive. It felt altogether more sophisticated and seemed keen to prove to me that I was wasting my time there.

The interesting part of all this is that around 2.30 am one night, it decided to show me that it could dance round me if it wished. To that end it produced a very small circle with three strand whirl/twist about fifty yards ahead of me - and in the darkest of night - straight in front of my tripod mounted slr and video cameras. I activated both at the time, but the lighting was far too low for any result. What is of interest to your photo is how it appeared to the naked eye. The first indication (to a rather exhausted, but full dark adapted me) was a very faint white glow at floor level amongst the corn, around the size of a dinner plate - it seemed rather like a very faint torch beam projection, but completely uniform and oddly flourescent. This light very quickly expanded to around fifteen feet in radius, at which point a faint rustling noise was heard. Very quickly indeed - and at a conservative measure seven seconds (two seconds activating the camcorder, four seconds the slr) it was all over - the corn simply twisted and fell ... nothing else to see except the dull white glow, which rapidly returned to the size of a plate, then jumped very quickly to corn top height and dashed across the corn tops heading towards the previously formed "key" formation.

Unfortunately nothing registered on either camera (far too faint) and I was the only witness so the observation was of little objective value ... but interesting none the less. I am conviced that "it" did this just to show how powerless I was to gather anything worthwhile from it. Although much smaller, the speed and path of your lights are very similar indeed - and having seen one change size in an instant, they could easily be one and the same. I intend to try again next year with an image intensifier, so I may well see you there ... naturally will forward anything of interest to yourself and any other researchers,

Hope this of some use,
Win.

Dear Ellis,

I saw the photo at your site with the white dots apparently "rising" out of the
crop circle. This immediately reminded me of a video footage shot by Patricia
Murray in the Barbury Castel "dolphins" formation in 1999, have you seen it?
M.K.

I saw on a program, i believe it was 'Sightings', lights coming out of a crop circle.
They were able to film the crop circle while it was being formed and also filmed these weird white lights.

Hi Ellis,

Your crop circle photos are very interesting, in particular the circle showing the white objects. whilst it is difficult to see them in great detail, due to their size and speed, I do think that the white objects may be orbs, with a trail behind them, leaving the crop circle. I have seen similar objects on a much larger photo of a field and in that instance, the orbs appeared to be coming out of the ground.
Keep up the excellent work!
A.L.

Hi Ellis,
I was just browsing your site and wandered onto the crop circle pages, specifically 23rd August photo of Garsington crop circle formation.

The white objects that seem to be flying up from the crop circle could be "orbs".. something known in the paranormal community.. These"orbs" are balls of light, dismissed by some as ball lightening, but actually show some signs of intelligent control.

I've experienced them myself at Avebury, looking over towards West Kennett, on the horizon balls of light were dancing about, zipping up into the air and back down again..I was with several people, and as we were leaving Avebury car park, one of these "orbs" flew straight at the minibus, and through the windscreen, through the minibus and out the back. Incidently we all hit the deck as it passed through, as I'm sure we all thought it was going to hit us.

I think they have the ability to change shape, and size at will.

Hope this helps

Take care
Love and Blessings
S.
