The Crop Circle Experience

Dear Ellis,
My name is Hugh McPherson. I am the owner/operator of Maize Quest located Central Pennsylvania. Maize Quest is the world's largest collection of people sized mazes and entertain families and groups throughout the summer months. This year, in our quest to explore mazes and maze-like phenomenon, we joined with Colin Andrews to create The Crop Circle Experience.

The Crop Circle Experience is based around our creation of a "Julia Set" crop circle in one of our wheat fields. Visitors to Maize Quest have the opportunity to walk around and through the crop circle, explore the evidence presented at our information stations, and even cast their ballot regarding their level of belief in the crop circle phenomenon.

It is designed to be an interactive event that is open to the public from June 26-Aug 8, 2004. Our Kick-off event includes the following two presentations by Colin Andrews - one for kids in the afternoon and one more in depth for adults in the evening.

While we are out in the country, we are 1.5 hours or less from Philadelphia, PA, Baltimore, MD, Washington, D.C., Harrisburg, PA, York, PA, Lancaster, PA. Basically, over 3 million people, and I'm sure many of your web site visitors.

Conventional advertising does not seem to be an effective way to reach the people who would be most interested and gain the most insight from Colin's presentation, so I'm requesting your help. If you feel this event would be of interest to your web site visitors, could we work out a way to communicate the details of the event to them? A simple posting of the event details or email would certainly be enough, though you may have more ideas.

Our goal is to have a successful event with lots of interested people and lots of interesting discussion. Thank you for your time and any help or guidance you can provide.

Presentation for children:

The world’s leading expert on Crop Circles, will make a special presentation for children on the afternoon of the 26th June.

He will show what crop circles are, where they occur, what is so strange about them and what he thinks is responsible, as well as knowing some are made by people.  He will encourage interaction with the audience and attempt to walk them through what will be a very unusual and useful educational afternoon of fun but with substance that could have live changing ramifications that they will see within their life time. Colin Andrews has presented to children in schools around the world and has always been well received and has been responsible for family debate for weeks afterwards.

Evening Presentation – for adults.

Colin Andrews has acted as consultant on this mystery to Governments, research bodies and institutes like The Rockefeller Foundation etc.  He advised Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and the Royal families in Germany and Great Britain.  He advised Disney on the Mel Gibson movie ‘Signs’ and the British movie ‘A Place To Stay’.  Today he is presenting to the people of Pennsylvania his final conclusions after 21 years of in depth research.  Andrews was a senior official in the British government and is an electrical engineer by profession, as such he has researched this subject applying scientific methods and protocols.  He will show the incredible discoveries he has made in crop circles around the world (including the United States) and will for the first time present what he thinks the crop circles mean.  This will be a presentation you will not forget. 

His research has been seen on numerous television documentaries from The Learning Channel to Discovery from The History Channel to CNN.  He has appeared on many TV chat shows, from the Jessy Raphael Show to the Shirley Maclaine show, from Inside Edition to 20/20 with Barbara Walters and many more.  Later this year his presentation will be heard by 250,000 attendees at the Para-World Expo in Los Angeles.

Unique information and hundreds of photographs will be available for those who are interested.  His latest book ‘Crop Circles – Signs of Contact’, CDs and DVDs will also be available during the day.
