ST. MARY'S CHURCH,
SWANLEIGH, MIDDLE SWAN
St Mary's church sits atop a hill overlooking the Swan River. Sited within a loop of the Jane Brook it is a lovely old church but I fear it holds dark secrets.

The present church dates from 1869 and would not look amiss in an English country village.

The previous building made of timber and octagon shaped was erected in 1840. A 'Brother', Governor John Hutt, had laid the foundation stone on 5th August 1839.

Reverend William Mitchell conducted the first service on 29th November 1840.
29th November is numerology-wise 22. This number means 'Great Architect'. 1840 adds up to 13.
Another more secret formula though reveals the telling 33-13.

The church has no bell tower, nowadays the bell is fixed to the roof but previously it hung from a neighbouring tree.

To get to the church one has to drive up to the end of the private, Yule Road through the grounds of Swanleigh hostel.

Swan Boys Orphanage was established here in 1875. Later in 1888 a "Native and Halfcaste Mission" for Aboriginal children was added. In 1942 girls were admitted and the name changed to Swan Homes. It was again renamed in 1960. Now called Swanleigh it acts as a hostel for country kids at school nearby.

Not long ago, inspired by successful forays around old English churches I decided to examine the energies of the old church. I wanted to discover why the pioneers had built the church in this position.

I detected 3 energy spirals around the altar. To the rear was an anticlockwise spiral and to the fore 2 clockwise spirals. 8 Saturn Lines (grids) patterned the ground at the main door. As usual the windows are placed at various levels to admit (and deter) energy streams. As for the font?

I didn't like the font. I have always detected strong energy over fonts. Here there was nothing. I wasn't expecting it. It was dead.

Why would those nousy old timers build a font over a dead spot? It didn't make sense; at least not until a few days later when I received an email from the Eastern States.

A couple wrote to inform me that a previous vicar of a local church had been buriedunder the altar. WHAT?

They even sent copies of old official documents to prove it. The current vicar dismissed the story when they told him about it saying he was buried in the wall; but as they told me, "The walls are only 18" thick. He would have been an inordinately thin person."

This got me thinking. Why would someone place a body under an altar? and
Could there be a body under the font at St Mary's?
A 'CHANCE' ENCOUNTER

Throughout my research into the missing girls and the satanic connection pieces of information have come through synchronous meetings and 'chance' discoveries.

Whenever a thought has occurred to me someone or some piece of information has arrived to confirm it.  Leaving little doubt in my mind that I am on the right track.

On the afternoon of Sunday 28th January 2001 I made a spur of the moment visit to St Mary's church at Swanleigh.

Thankfully at the time no one else was at the church while I wandered around slowly taking photographs, notes and compass readings.

I studied the graves, the trees and the architecture for signs of unusual influences and photographed them.

WHO IS THE COWBOY?
I made my way out of the building and walked around the church once more. It struck me that the Francis of Assisi window from the rear showed an anticlockwise sun symbol at the bottom and 2 black horned beasts at the top; a devil riding a bull. Then I noticed a lady had arrived and was sitting on a bench reading a book on the NE side of the churchyard. Spotting a dying pine tree a little to the right and in front of her I walked over to it.

"Are you interested in the church," she enquired.
The church's axis is on 330° NW  150° SE. Aha! Masonic numbers! 33 and 15, and appropriate to my suspicions that dark practices have been performed in and around this sanctum.   17 stained-glass windows adorn the walls (17 the number of the Tarot Star, Isis and the local Midland Lodge).

Scots Pines (the Templar Masonic trees) grow in the churchyard.

I noticed that Minchin's and Mountjoy's are buried in the cemetery. These are the names of two of the 3 roads intersecting at Dance Drive shopping precinct. I also noticed that a sign at the front of the church read The Minchin Centre. (More on this in main article).
I entered the church through the open doors, studied and photographed the interior, checked the energies and read the inscriptions.
While there was still no energy at the font there was a slight charge from the water left in it. There is a design carved into the font but no visible inscription. The 2 previously discovered unhealthy spirals still whipped around the front of the altar but the spiral behind the altar was erratic this time.  A spot in the northeast aisle showed a spiral of erratic energy.

The whole church had an oppressive air, was deathly still as if waiting for something to happen.
'Yes I am,' I replied.

After a few moments of small talk I felt that this lady had something to teach me...And there began a very interesting conversation.
always placed over energy spirals," I said. "Why would there be no energy under it?"

"Because we moved it a few years ago. It used to be in this aisle here," she answered pointing towards the NE wall.

This made sense to me because it was where I had just confirmed another spiral. Butthat doesn't answer why they moved it? or, why to there?

"Why do you think they moved it?" I ventured.

She didn't know but she added that she felt the church was dying; that the church and the neighbouring orphanage had a sad and sadistic past. Children had been abused here.
Over the years a favourite torture perpetrated by sick adults and youngsters alike has been to throw children into a stone vault situated close to where the old church used to stand.

She informed me of many people drowning in the swollen river during floods never to be seen again. Children and aborigines were amongst the numerous victims.

It crossed my mind that it was a very convenient way of disposing of victims and a good excuse for others to have disappeared.

I told her of the 330° axis. Which shocked her. She thought that all churches were oriented EW and that the graves should face east.
She told me that a number of parishioners had opposed a monument to the Rev. Hamilton The same vicar that the St Francis window had been dedicated to. This was the window that had repulsed me so.
After a sketch at the Battye Library
Reverend Nancy Scott was very seriously injured when a wall collapsed upon her in December 2002.
A web page has been set up to document Reverend Scott's journey to recovery.
God bless her and please get well soon.

I asked her why the font was in a place with no energy. "Fonts in my experience are always placed over energy spirals," I said. "Why would there be no energy under it?"

"Because we moved it a few years ago. It used to be in this
aisle here," she answered pointing towards the NE wall.

I asked her why the font was in a place with no energy. "Fonts in my experience are
"Have you seen the gravestone facing the wrong way?" she suddenly asked.

"They are all facing the wrong way," I replied. "Except that one. The obelisk in the corner, that is facing east."

"Yes but this one is very interesting, it faces in the opposite direction to all the others. It caused quite a stir at the time. Come and see."

We walked to the southwest corner of the cemetery, where a lone weathered stone stood alone facing southwest. As we bent down to read the weathered description the lady vicar approached us from the vicarage.

My companion knew her and they exchanged greetings. After introducing me my companion asked about the gravestone. Reverend Scott didn't seem to know much about it. Huge bull ants were emerging from under the stone. (I know from past experience that stinging and biting insects tend to hang out in unhealthy spots.)

My companion explained that she knew that the interned remains had belonged to a gentleman who came from a different parish some distance away (Gin Gin  miles away up the Great Northern Highway). The gravestone confirmed this. Apparently the man, Mr Joyhn Predy who died in 1851 had insisted on his stone facing west and that he had payed handsomely for the privilege.

The Rev. Scott was busy however and bidding us farewell she started up for the church.

I said goodbye to my new found friend and gave thanks that yet again someone had been sent to help me.

I have since had the pleasure of meeting Reverend Scott. She is a charming lady.

It is a matter of record that dark deeds were practiced within the church environs. Sadly today homes, orphanages and religious organisations are still the haunts of perverts and sadists.

Whether St Mary's or the adjoining hostel are still hives of depravity I do not know.. I feel certain that Reverend Scott would not allow any of these shennanagins if she had the slightest inkling.

However I am equally certain that the aforesaid Illuminati cults still have designs on the location. We will see how long this angel of St Mary's is allowed to stay..

Note:
Years ago I isited the church at Gin-Gin. I was struck by the large number of childrens' graves dated round the same time. Apparently due to a cholera outbreak.

Postscript

I have discovered during my research a book on the history of St Mary's. Mr Harold S. Wilson completed the research and manuscript in 1997. During his research, I am reliably informed; Mr Wilson discovered a swag of disturbing secrets involving St Mary's and Swanleigh. Alas we may never be enlightened to these. Mr Wilson died, I am told of a heart attack before he could publish the book.

In 1999 Swan Parish Council and the Shire of Swan combined to edit and bring to publication the book, "A History of Swan Parish"

The whereabouts of Mr Wilson's 'alternative' research is unknown.

Mr Wilson was 67.

The fact that 67 adds to 13 may have nothing to do with it.
